What If - Lyrics What if the blind, could suddenly see? What if the deaf, could hear perfectly? What if the world, could live in peace? What a wonderful place, this would be Verse II What if fear, was gone, long gone? What if everyone knew, the words to this song? What if the meaning, was perfectly clear? What if I never, had to wish you were here? Chorus Tomorrow, is promised to none. Today, i...

Mr T was one of the coolest celebrities I have ever met. This interview was done at the old Riff studios on Northwestern Hwy.

lean and mean with bobby borg on drums, as kottak never played gigs once the album came out. he wound up getting the call for the scorpions during the promotion for ultraphobic. they played limelight on the cherry pie tour, with mtv in tow for a mtv news report....kinda interesting that 4 years later they would play it here promoting ultraphobic to a still decent sized crowd.
The fact that Warrant could right a song like Cherry Pie and Dog Eat Dog just shows how much of a great and diverse songwriter Jani Lane was. Oh btw, he was also a great vocalist and front man. I sure miss that dude!
The grunge fans were so (man just listen to what you want, don't be so judgmental) while at the same time we're the most judgmental people ever. Warrant took the prize somehow of being everything that was wrong with music to these people and became the butt of jokes and Jani was the face of WARRANT. He was a great songwriter and performer, wish he'd a lived longer to see it all reverse.
Anyone got other footage from the 90’s
Thank you !! I just saw Warrant here on LI last week ..they sounded GREAT ..but brought back so many memories !! I love & miss you Jani ❤
Thank you 😢
Scary how his live vocals pretty much match his album vocals. What a vocalist.
Wow, vocals sound great here!
Thanks,awesome, Jani gone to soon!!
Jani really had an incredible voice. I saw Warrant open for Poison in Greensboro, NC. It was the "Cherry Pie" tour. Poison didn't show because Brett Michaels was having problems with his Diabetes. Warrant played both the DRFSR and Cherry Pie albums minus one or two songs to make up for it. They offered ticket refunds but I was there to see Warrant anyway and I was completely satisfied.
GOAT
Saw this tour in Cincinnati in late '94 and it blew me away! Got to meet Jani (RIP) and Jerry after the show. Although I am also a big Steven Sweet fan, James Kottack (RIP) was a freakin' beast! I am a singer and Jani Lane is my absolute, all-time #1 favorite and inspiration. He was the greatest singer, front-man, and songwriter of this era of rock and roll and can stand toe-to-toe with most other eras as well.
I'm gonna have to disagree with you on him being the best frontman of the time. I'm gonna say it's the one and only STEVE WHITEMAN. Who Jani sez was the reason he wanted to be a singer. Steve was one of his favorites and MENTOR...
Nathan, while I have lived in LA for 27 years now, my girl and I were AT that show at Annie's in December 1994. Met Jani for the first time and stayed friends for the last 17 years of his life! Upon his passing in 2011, and Obi (Band manager) calling back after I left a very emotional, tearful message) I drove to the service in Malibu, blasting all Jani music and bawling my eyes out! Again. He was AMAZINGLY talented and ALWAYS treated me/us with respect and I know I will see him again. BTW, he texted me on the evening he proposed to Kimberly 💔💔🙏🙏 "CAN WE REWIND TO WHERE WE'VE BEEN?" (Down Boys) I love you Jani!
I can;t find the final track "The Turtle" anywhere. Does anybody know if they recorded it? Great riff, great vocals by Jani (as usual), and killer solo!
Could I get a copy of the Delta 88 part of this?
I saw this tour in Colorado Springs, got to meet the whole band and spent 20 minutes talking with James Kottak. Probably the nicest down to earth famous people I've ever met.
A+ content thanks for the killer upload of one of the bands I blasted as a kid
Janie Lane the day the world lost you was a huge loss not only a good guy awesome musician singer songwriter the music business still morns the loss but got to see your daughter sing Heaven it was sad but happy my eyes started to leak such a great monement hearing her sing your track 😢😢😢😢
I hate that janie was known for the cherry pie song that he thought people judged him and his voice only on that one song. Sad. The whole album of dog eat dog was a phenomenal album all the tracks rocked no bad fillers
Love this band. Never realized how much click and backing tracks they used live. 32 Pennie’s, the female chorus voice. Uncle toms cabin intro the banjo is backing….. not knocking it, just surprised back in 95 they had ability to do it.
Love the ocean and ac dc etx thrown in the middle
Switching to The Ocean in the middle of DRFSR sort of felt like a way to skip having to play the solo.
Love ❤warrant! Didn’t like the new songs they slipped in generally. A couple yes but like the heavily produced albums better. They tied to kind of grunge these new songs up and for me they didn’t work
Thanks for posting. This is awesome sh*t! Jani had a set of pipes and could sing his as* off. RIP Jani, warrant fans miss you.
That’s crazy. The Eaton food court?? A relative of mine was a longggg time employee of the mall property itself and I practically grew up in the mall, Main st. Arcade, Eaton, etc. Thank you for sharing this with us all. Allows me to see a childhood memory and location that’s long since been razed.
Real, sweet, and raw, at their zenith. Wish they would be like this again.
This is the way I want to see KISS.
excellent, WRIF made Detroit events a real party back then. RIP Mike Clark. WE miss you !
Is that Wolters and Mike's voices?
Jani Baby WTF happened ? Never mind Doll either way you must be singing with the Angels. Such a pretty voice behind the fierce rock.
It's no EOTR show which is the ultimate, best, most thrilling KISS, but I appreciate all parts of Kisstory. Thanks for sharing
This is so much better than EOTR !!!!
This is the real kiss army imo. I am a fan since 1979 but the early nineties were the greatest
They ALL played their ass off then.
I must love Jani deeply. Even his Dad jokes are adorable. "Your a gentleman a scholar and a Proctologist. LMFAO
"Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah "
Thanks Mike it means everything to find Warrant/Jani Gold I didn't know existed. Sounded amazing in spite of modest filming and sound quality.
Feels like I should be able to walk in the door grab a shot and make my way to the stage.
Always amazing to listen to Jani sing and his stamina and moves put him to the top of the list of the best front man in my time. So greatful to be able to see this concert but so wish we could have seen his face.
EPIC.
Is this place at 28th and Gratiot
I meant 28 mile just up the road from scarefest I think it's called no I don't recognize these bands but it is a shame that place is sitting there being neglected now
@@tommythelonelyboy Yes. It was called the "Salt River Park" it was once called "King's Animal Land."
Your story was good, and I look forward to looking at the other videos

From arenas to small clubs with young kids standing still.
Mike thanks Man a few times a year I drop myself down the You Tube Jani Lane Rabbit hole and hope I land somewhere that I haven't been before. This is the first time I've seen this one and I can tell right away that he is feeling good and he's at his finest. I can't even tell you how much I appreciate it when people share rare footage. When I see something the first time I almost forget that he's gone and that's a wonderful feeling.
Same ❤️🙌🏼
Fuck i wish I was there! I seen them on the Blood, Sweat and Beers Tour. His vocals emotionally are unmatched. So underrated its wrong!
The loser of warrant rick steir.
Melissa McGhee
WOW! I'm a HUGE Warrant fan and this is so amazing! Thanks for the Upload! I loved this era
What I wouldn't give to have had the same type of taping equipment that we have now. It breaks my heart that I can't even see his face. There is no one who complains more about technology than I do but that all changes when we don't have great concert footage from the day. What a shame. Although to be honest I usually cry all the way through the first half of this anyway and then I I managed to pull myself together. I don't just grieve the loss of the band and the loss of Jani which is devastating but it's the whole Era. There was nothing like the late 80s and early 90s. It was that feeling that we would be young and party forever and the only thing that mattered was the music, where was the best-looking guys and gals were and what band was playing where. Then we all lost our minds and got married and had children. Whatever made that seem like a good idea. LOL
I have all the "great concert footage" in my memory, which is where it's supposed to be. You don't know how many times I'll think about a show from back in the day and remember it as being so great only to find footage or audio on RUclips only to hear it through trained ears that the show really sucked. I'll watch old footage, but I'll never rewatch something I personally experienced ever again. These things are supposed to be enjoyed in the moment not taped and re-watched. That's why kids are so miserable these days & we had the times of our lives. BTW the party hasn't ended...it just went underground, where it belongs. ;)
I love Gene
Jani was such a great songwriter. He was head and shoulders above all the rest of those kinds of bands. People always compared them to Poison but Warrant's songs are so much better. Dog Eat Dog is such an underrated album.
Yup, and, Dog Eat Dog is their best album IMO.
@@8trackregalbeagl3 Dog Eat Dog is wildly underrated.
Gene is an idiot. He doesn't care about being in Kiss. All that matters to him is money.. n power
